Blood Thinners – Printable Version

NSAIDS- Printable Version

Referral protocol includes the Referral Form, all the medical records and all X ray, CT and MRI reports. Also we need a medication list including blood thinners (Aspirin, Coumadin, Plavix, Aggrenox, etc.)

If referred patient was treated in any other pain practice, patient should sign a Medical Records Release Form so we can review previous treatments and procedures prior to scheduling an appointment. If our conclusion is that V Pain Clinic has no other treatment options, we will inform you and the patient about our decision.

For patients with urgent issues we try to schedule an appointment within 24-48 hours.

For cervical procedures or any procedure that requires IV sedation, the patient should not eat or drink after midnight. They should take their medication with a small amount of water. If patient takes any blood thinners they will have to be stopped three to ten days prior procedure. Please review the Blood thinners contact our office and we will contact the patient and educate to get detailed information about blood thinners. Please check the list of NSAIDs (non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs) and Blood thinners on the right side of this page.
